 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3743

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 3743,  by  deleting
 3    everything  after  the  enacting clause and inserting in lieu
 4    thereof the following

 5                             "ARTICLE 1

 6        Section 5.  The  following  named  amounts,  or  so  much
 7    thereof  as  may  be necessary, respectively, for the objects
 8    and purposes hereinafter  named,  are  appropriated  for  the
 9    ordinary  and  contingent  expenses  of  the  Office  of  the
10    Governor:
11                          EXECUTIVE OFFICE
12    Payable from the General Revenue Fund:

14      For Employee Retirement Contributions
15       Paid by Employer ............................      220,000
16      For State Contributions to State

21      For Travel....................................      200,000

 9        Section  10.  The  sum of $100,000, or so much thereof as
10    may be necessary, is appropriated from the  Governor's  Grant
11    Fund  to  the  Office  of  the  Governor  to  be  expended in
12    accordance with the terms  and  conditions  upon  which  such
13    funds  were  received  and  in  the exercise of the powers or
14    performance of the duties of the Office of the Governor.

15                              ARTICLE 2

16        Section 5.  The  following  named  amounts,  or  so  much
17    thereof  as  may  be necessary, respectively, for the objects
18    and purposes hereinafter named,  are  appropriated  from  the
19    General  Revenue  Fund  to  meet  the ordinary and contingent
20    expenses of the Office of the Lieutenant Governor:

 5      For Operational and Grant Expenses of the
 6       Rural Affairs Council .......................      300,000

 8        The amount of $190,000, or so  much  thereof  as  may  be
 9    necessary,  is  appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to
10    the Office of the Lieutenant Governor for  the  ordinary  and
11    contingent   expenses  of  the  Illinois  River  Coordination
12    Council.

13        Section 10.  The sum of $100,000, or so much  thereof  as
14    may  be  necessary,  is  appropriated  from  the Agricultural
15    Premium Fund to the Office of  Lieutenant  Governor  for  all
16    costs associated with the Rural Affairs Council including any
17    grants or administration expenses.

18        Section  15.  The  sum  of $50,000, or so much thereof as
19    may  be  necessary,  is  appropriated  from  the   Lieutenant
20    Governor's Grant Fund to the Office of Lieutenant Governor to
21    be expended in accordance with the terms and  conditions upon
22    which  such  funds  were  received and in the exercise of the
23    powers or performance of the duties  of  the  Office  of  the
24    Lieutenant Governor.

25        Section  99.   Effective  date.  This Act takes effect on
26    July 1, 2003.
