 1                       HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, House Joint Resolution 21 of  the  93rd  General
 3    Assembly  created  a  Joint Task Force on Illinois Immigrants
 4    and Refugees; and

 5        WHEREAS, The Task Force was scheduled to submit a  report
 6    of  its  findings and recommendations to the General Assembly
 7    no later than December 31, 2003; and

 8        WHEREAS, The Task Force will be unable  to  complete  its
 9    report by that date; therefore, be it

10        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
11    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF  ILLINOIS,  THE
12    SENATE  CONCURRING  HEREIN,  that  the  Joint  Task  Force on
13    Illinois Immigrants and Refugees shall summarize its findings
14    and recommendations in a report to the  General  Assembly  no
15    later than May 1, 2004.
