 1        AN ACT in relation to sex offender information.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Sex Offender and Child Murderer Community
 5    Notification Law is amended by adding Section 116 as follows:

 6        (730 ILCS 152/116 new)
 7        Sec. 116. Condominium  and  apartment  managers  to  post
 8    information.  A  manager  of a condominium or of an apartment
 9    building shall post in a  conspicuous  place  in  the  common
10    areas of the condominium or apartment building a notice as to
11    how  a  unit  owner  or  renter  can obtain information about
12    persons who are registered as sex  offenders  under  the  Sex
13    Offender   Registration   Act,   including   how   to  access
14    information maintained in the Statewide Sex Offender Database
15    that is posted on the Department of State Police Web site.

16        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  upon
17    becoming law.
