 1        AN ACT concerning local government.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  Illinois  Municipal  Code is amended by
 5    changing Section 1-3-2a as follows:

 6        (65 ILCS 5/1-3-2a) (from Ch. 24, par. 1-3-2a)
 7        Sec. 1-3-2a.  Adoption of county subdivision code.
 8        Any municipality is authorized to adopt by reference  the
 9    county   subdivision   code   of   the  county  wherein  such
10    municipality  is  situated,   without   setting   forth   the
11    provisions  of  such  code  in full, provided that at least 3
12    copies of such code  which  is  incorporated  or  adopted  by
13    reference  are  filed  in  the  office  of  the  clerk of the
14    municipality at least  15  days  prior  to  adoption  of  the
15    ordinance which incorporates such code by reference and there
16    kept available for public use, inspection and examination.
