    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by changing

Section 18-101 as follows:

    Sec. 18-101. Short title and applicability. This Article

may
be cited as the
the Electric Utility Transitional Funding

1997 and shall apply to electric utilities as defined in
