HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Harold H.
4 "Herbie" Hadden, a well-known Newtown area farmer for 50 years,
5 who passed away on February 24, 2010; and
 
6     WHEREAS, He was born September 20, 1937, in Newtown to
7 Harold E. and Sylvia Divan Hadden; he married Alice Tuttle on
8 November 1, 1959, in Newtown; and
 
9     WHEREAS, He served on the Newtown Consolidated School
10 District 109 Board of Education, the Newtown Cemetery Board,
11 and was a member of the Hebron United Methodist Church; and
 
12     WHEREAS, He was a Vermilion County Fair & Expo member for
13 42 years, and President of the Fair Board for 12 years; he
14 began his time with the fair as livestock superintendent before
15 moving on to eventually becoming President of the Fair Board;
16 and
 
17     WHEREAS, His greatest joy was spending time with his
18 children and grandchildren; he enjoyed weekend breakfast with
19 his buddies, mushroom hunting, was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed
20 racing and dirt-track, and he was an avid fan of the Illini,
21 Chicago Bears, and Cardinals; and

1     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his
2 granddaughter, Blake Marie Morton; and his nephew, Douglas Mark
3 Hadden; and
 
4     WHEREAS, Harold Hadden is survived by his wife, Alice; his
5 three daughters, Deanna (Matthew) Morton, Debra (Jeff) Neiman,
6 and Vicki (Larry) Cunningham; his brothers-in-law Herbie
7 helped raise and proudly felt were like his own, Denny Tuttle
8 and Roger Tuttle; his brother, Haldon "Fuzz" Hadden; and his
9 eight grandchildren, Christopher, Casie, Sidney, Conner,
10 Alexa, Sloan, Cole, and Alison; therefore, be it
 
11     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
12 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
13 mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Harold
14 "Herbie" Hadden; and be it further
 
15     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16 presented to the family of Harold "Herbie" Hadden as a symbol
17 of our sincere sympathy.
