210 ILCS 62/30

    Amends the End Stage Renal Disease Facility Act to include in the list of items for which rules adopted pursuant to the Act shall contain minimum standards, a source of emergency backup power at an end stage renal disease facility.

1    AN ACT concerning health facilities.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The End Stage Renal Disease Facility Act is
5amended by changing Section 30 as follows:
 
6    (210 ILCS 62/30)
7    Sec. 30. Minimum standards.
8    (a) The rules adopted pursuant to this Act shall contain
9minimum standards to protect the health and safety of a patient
10of an end stage renal disease facility, including standards
11for:
12        (1) the qualifications and supervision of the
13    professional staff and other personnel;
14        (2) the equipment used by the facility to insure that
15    it is compatible with the health and safety of the
16    patients;
17        (3) the sanitary and hygienic conditions in the
18    facility;
19        (4) quality assurance for patient care;
20        (5) clinical records maintained by the facility;
21        (6) design and space requirements for the facility to
22    insure safe access by patients and personnel and for
23    ensuring patient privacy;

1        (7) indicators of the quality of care provided by the
2    facility; and
3        (8) water treatment and reuse by the facility; and .
4        (9) a source of emergency backup power at the facility.
5    (b) These standards shall be consistent with the
6requirements for a supplier of end stage renal disease services
7under Titles XVIII and XIX of the federal Social Security Act.
