AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4456

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4456, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 1, on page 5, by replacing lines 10 through 17 with the following:

"(a-5) Each applicant for a Firearm Owner's Identification Card who is over the age of 18 shall furnish to the Department of State Police either his or her Illinois driver's license number or Illinois Identification Card number, except as provided in subsection (a-10).

(a-10) Each applicant for a Firearm Owner's Identification Card, who is employed as a law enforcement officer, an armed security officer in Illinois, or by the United States Military permanently assigned in Illinois at a nuclear energy, storage, weapons, or development facility regulated by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and who is not an Illinois"; and

on page 9, line 11, by inserting after "Illinois" the following: ", except as provided in subsection (a-10) of Section 4"; and

on page 11, by replacing lines 6 through 8 with the following: "shall not issue the order if the petitioner is otherwise prohibited from obtaining, possessing, or using a firearm under federal law.".
