AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5925

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5925, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 1, as follows:

on page 7, line 25, by replacing "Workgroup." with "Workgroup; provided that such designation shall not require the establishment of a data sharing arrangement or other participation with the Illinois Health Information Exchange or the payment of any fee."; and

on page 24, by replacing line 13 with the following: "31.8, 31.9, and 31.10 as follows:"; and

on page 29, line 22, by replacing "Workgroup." with "Workgroup; provided that such designation shall not require the establishment of a data sharing arrangement or other participation with the Illinois Health Information Exchange or the payment of any fee."; and

on page 50, immediately below line 1, by inserting the following:

"(410 ILCS 513/31.10 new)

Sec. 31.10. Minimum necessary. When using or disclosing genetic-related information under this Act, a covered entity shall do so in accordance with the minimum necessary standard under HIPAA.".
