AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1680

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1680, AS AMENDED, by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The Eminent Domain Act is amended by adding Section 25-5-55 as follows:

(735 ILCS 30/25-5-55 new)

Sec. 25-5-55. Quick-take; Village of Melrose Park. Quick-take proceedings under Article 20 may be used for a period of no longer than one year from the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly by the Village of Melrose Park for the acquisition of the following described property to be used for the purpose of a municipal parking lot used by Village Hall employees, patrons, and visitors, a location for various Village-sponsored events, and other municipal purposes:

1001-1011 North 25th Avenue

LOTS 1 TO 10 IN BLOCK 151 IN MELROSE, A SUBDIVISION OF LOTS 3, 4, AND 5 IN SUPERIOR COURT PARTITION OF THE SOUTH 1/2 OF SECTION 3, TOWNSHIP 39 NORTH, RANGE 12, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

Property Index Numbers: 15-03-332-001-000 through 15-03-332-010-000.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.".
