AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3409

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3409, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No. 3, on page 2, lines 2 through 4, by replacing "with notification to the patient's physician and with appropriate reporting and record retention" with ". Vaccination of a patient by a dentist shall be documented in the patient's dental record and the record shall be retained in accordance with current dental recordkeeping standards. The dentist shall notify the patient's physician of each dose of vaccine administered to a patient and shall enter all patient level data or update the patient's current record in the immunization data registry maintained by the Department of Public Health. The dentist may provide this notice to the patient's physician electronically. The dentist shall also use the immunization data registry system to review vaccination history for a patient prior to the administration of any vaccine.".
