| 4 | | "Section 5. The Electronic Fund Transfer Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 53 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 53. Automated teller machine fees. A cash withdrawal |
| 8 | | fee at an automated teller machine shall not exceed $1 per |
| 9 | | transaction. A financial institution involved in the |
| 10 | | electronic fund transfer shall not charge the consumer a fee or |
| 11 | | cost other than the $1 fee.

| 12 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 13 | | becoming law.".
