SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 

 
25 ILCS 10/8 new

     Amends the General Assembly Operations Act. Provides that on and after the effective date of the amendatory Act, the General Assembly shall, by joint resolution, establish a revenue estimate for the following State fiscal year by April 30th of each year. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning State government.
  
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
 
3represented in the General Assembly:
  
 
 
4    Section 5. The General Assembly Operations Act is amended  
5by adding Section 8 as follows:
 
6    (25 ILCS 10/8 new)
7    Sec. 8. Revenue estimate.
    On and after the effective date 
8of this amendatory Act of the 101st General Assembly, the 
9General Assembly shall, by joint resolution, establish a 
10revenue estimate for the following State fiscal year by April 
1130th of each year.
 
 
12    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
13becoming law.
