Amends the University of Illinois Hospital Act and the Hospital Licensing Act. Requires hospitals organized or licensed under the Acts to report to the Department of Public Health the demographic data of individuals who have symptoms of COVID-19 and are released from, not admitted to, the hospital.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The University of Illinois Hospital Act is |
| 5 | | amended by adding Section 11 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (110 ILCS 330/11 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 11. Demographic data; release of individuals with |
| 8 | | symptoms of COVID-19. The University of Illinois Hospital shall |
| 9 | | report to the Department of Public Health the demographic data |
| 10 | | of individuals who have symptoms of COVID-19 and are released |
| 11 | | from, not admitted to, the University of Illinois Hospital.

| 12 | | Section 10. The Hospital Licensing Act is amended by adding |
| 13 | | Section 6.28 as follows:

| 15 | | Sec. 6.28. Demographic data; release of individuals with |
| 16 | | symptoms of COVID-19. A hospital licensed under this Act shall |
| 17 | | report to the Department the demographic data of individuals |
| 18 | | who have symptoms of COVID-19 and are released from, not |
| 19 | | admitted to, the hospital.
