HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Mayukh
4Biswas, who passed away on March 15, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mayukh Biswas was known for his love of animals
6and frequently helped them in many capacities; most notably, he
7fought animal abuse and regularly donated to local shelters and
8the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
9from funds he received from doing chores, tutoring kids, and
10gifts; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Mayukh Biswas and his family had a tradition of
12funding a whole weekend meal for an orphanage on his birthdays,
13and he sometimes chose to forgo birthday parties and gifts in
14support of this cause; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Mayukh Biswas excelled in math and physics; he
16tutored other kids at home and proactively assisted classmates,
17both junior and senior to him, at school; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Mayukh Biswas was environmentally conscious and
19participated in events related to maintaining a cleaner
20environment; every summer, he worked with HSS Saraswati Shakha
21Balagokulam in their Adopt-a-Highway program to keep local

1roads clean; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Mayukh Biswas loved music; he was a percussionist
3and participated in the Stevenson High School band and
4drumline; he was also a member of the Illinois Association of
5Business Professionals of America; and
 
6    WHEREAS, The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is
7(800)273-8255 and the Lake County Health Department's 24-hour
8telephone crisis intervention center is (847)377-8088; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Mayukh Biswas will be remembered as someone who
10was always kind to people and animals; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
12HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13we mourn the passing of Mayukh Biswas and extend our sincere
14condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
15him; and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Mayukh Biswas as an expression of
18our deepest sympathy.
