| 1 | | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | | WHEREAS, House Resolution 254 of the 99th General Assembly |
| 3 | | created the Commission to Reform Child Care in Illinois to |
| 4 | | study current local and State provisions involving child care |
| 5 | | and make recommendations to help ensure that there are simple |
| 6 | | and fair systems to provide quality child care that is |
| 7 | | affordable for families, especially those on low incomes; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, House Resolution 254 of the 99th General Assembly |
| 9 | | directed that the findings of the Commission be reported to the |
| 10 | | General Assembly by September 1, 2015; the due date for the |
| 11 | | report was extended by House Resolution 709 of the 99th General |
| 12 | | Assembly to September 1, 2016; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Further work is needed on these issues;
therefore, |
| 14 | | be it
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 16 | | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 17 | | the Commission to Reform Child Care in Illinois shall submit a |
| 18 | | report, as
established in its authorizing resolution, on or |
| 19 | | before
December 31, 2020; and be it further
|
| 20 | | RESOLVED, That, with this reporting extension, the |
| 21 | | Commission shall continue to operate pursuant to House |
