SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Rudolf V. Kraus, who passed away on June
428, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rudolf Kraus was born on August 31, 1936 and was a
6native New Yorker; he served in the U.S. Air Force and
7graduated from Monmouth University in New Jersey; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Rudolf Kraus worked as a technician at Bell
9Laboratories; he later transitioned to electronics instruction
10at AIT and ITT; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Rudolf Kraus was an avid collector and amassed
12thousands of books, records, videotapes, and DVDs; he loved to
13cook and paint; he was a strong supporter of the Boy Scouts of
14America and served as an adult leader to many troops over the
15years, including troops 118, 222, 138, 53, and 140; he will be
16remembered as someone who worked hard, did good for others, and
17loved with all his heart, most especially his family; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Rudolf Kraus is survived by his wife of 53 years,
19Terry; his son, Rudolf (Hilary); his daughter, Tricia Goodman
20(Chris); and his grandchildren, Thomas and Tessa; therefore, be

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Rudolf V. Kraus and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Rudolf Kraus as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
