SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Jerry Lee Hoyle of Milan, who passed
4away on November 28, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jerry Hoyle was born in Avon on September 23,
61950; he was raised in Rock Island; he graduated from Rock
7Island High School in 1968; he served as a sergeant in the 3rd
8Battalion 11th Marine Division of the U.S. Marine Corps from
91969 to 1970, where he operated the M113 armored personnel
10carriers during the Vietnam War; he married Connie Heinrich in
11October 1971, and she preceded him in death in July 2002; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jerry Hoyle worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for
1333 years; he was deployed as a civilian contractor to Kuwait
14and Iraq for the Department of Defense; he retired in 2006; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jerry Hoyle was a member of the Milan Rifle Club
16and Milan American Legion Post 569; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Jerry Hoyle was an avid turkey hunter, and he
18enjoyed visiting Wyoming to hunt antelope; in his earlier
19years, he enjoyed fishing and participated in many bass
20tournaments; he also enjoyed restoring antique tractors; he
21loved traveling to South Dakota and Wyoming and visiting

1Yellowstone National Park; and
 
2    WHEREAS, At the time of his death, Jerry Hoyle was
3survived by his special friend, Beverly Wassenhove; his
4sister, Brenda Cassini; his grandson, Josh (Emmie) Whitmore;
5his great-grandsons, Henry and Owen Lee; his nieces, Ann,
6Amber, Jill, and Katherine; his nephews, Nicholas and Joseph;
7his brothers-in-law, Paul (Chris) Heinrich and Joe (Shelley)
8Heinrich; his sister-in-law, Judy Heinrich; and his best
9friend, Fred Hofmann; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Jerry Lee Hoyle and extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Jerry Hoyle as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
