| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Gerald Eugene Urbaniak of McHenry, | 4 | | formerly of Cary, who passed away on May 25, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Gerald Urbaniak was born in Chicago to Leonard and | 6 | | Ethel (Johnson) Urbaniak on September 7, 1952; he moved with | 7 | | his family to Cary and graduated from Cary High School, where | 8 | | he enjoyed track and cross country; after high school, he | 9 | | joined the United States Army and served three years in Germany | 10 | | during the Vietnam Era; he married Peggy Lee Smith at St. Peter & | 11 | | Paul Church in Cary on May 15, 1976; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Gerald Urbaniak was a valued employee of Rand | 13 | | Terrace Siding Company; for over 30 years, he was a clerk for | 14 | | the United States Postal Service of Fox River Grove and retired | 15 | | in 2017; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Gerald Urbaniak was a family man who enjoyed | 17 | | attending his daughter's cross country meets and softball | 18 | | games; he was active in Boy Scouts with his son, and they | 19 | | traveled extensively; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Gerald Urbaniak was preceded in death by his | 21 | | parents; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Gerald Urbaniak is survived by his wife, Peggy; | 2 | | his children, Samuel Urbaniak and Kristin (Jeff) Giacinto; his | 3 | | grandsons, Thomas and August; his brothers, Leonard Urbaniak | 4 | | Jr. and Greg (Tammy) Urbaniak; his sister, Linda (Larry) | 5 | | Hillesheim; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Gerald Eugene Urbaniak and extend our sincere condolences to | 9 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Gerald Urbaniak as an expression of | 13 | | our deepest sympathy.
