SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Walter J. Grygiel of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on February 12, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Walter Grygiel was born in Chicago to Lawrence and
6Agatha (Jakubowicz) Grygiel on September 16, 1921; he served
7his country as an Aviation Cadet for the Navy with Army
8Military services from 1942 until 1946; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Walter Grygiel had a strong work ethic and retired
10as a lithographer at the age of 70; he was a creative and
11skilled craftsman with a passion for technology; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Walter Grygiel was a member of the Knights of
13Columbus 3880 Fourth Degree for St. Thomas Church in Crystal
14Lake; he served his church community by preparing the monthly
15newsletter for the Knights of Columbus; he had a lifelong
16interest in fishing, aviation, and astronomy; he found joy in
17music, sports, internet searches on topics of interest, and
18discussions about current politics; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Walter Grygiel was preceded in death by his wife,
20Lorraine; and

1    WHEREAS, Walter Grygiel is survived by his son, Larry
2Grygiel; his daughter, Nancy (Harry) Reczek; and his
3granddaughters, Brooke Grygiel and Sarah (Cesar) Cardona;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Walter J. Grygiel and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Walter Grygiel as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
