Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect.     Sec. 36.01. The violation of any provision of this Act for which a penalty is not herein specifically provided is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
