1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 140
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 140, on page 2, by
3 replacing lines 4 and 5 with the following:
4 "(e) Sentence. Violation of this Section by possessing
5 a firearm is a Class 2 felony. by a person not confined in a
6 penal institution shall be a Class 3 felony. Violation of
7 this Section, other than by possessing a firearm, is a Class
8 3 felony."; and
9 on page 6, line 2, by inserting after "1961" the following:
10 "if the offense involved the possession of a firearm"; and
11 on page 18, line 9, by inserting after "1961" the following:
12 "if the offense involved the possession of a firearm".
