1 AN ACT to amend the Bond Issue Notification Act by
2 changing Section 10.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Bond Issue Notification Act is amended by
6 changing Section 10 as follows:

8 Sec. 10. Hearing requirement requirements.
9 Notwithstanding and in addition to any other law, before
10 adopting an ordinance selling non-referendum general
11 obligation bonds or limited bonds, the governing body of the
12 governmental unit proposing to sell the bonds shall hold at
13 least one public hearing concerning the governing body's
14 intent to sell the bonds. This hearing may be part of a
15 regularly scheduled meeting of the governing body.
