1 AN ACT to amend the Humane Care for Animals Act by
2 changing Section 4.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Humane Care for Animals Act is amended by
6 changing Section 4 as follows:
7 (510 ILCS 70/4) (from Ch. 8, par. 704)
8 Sec. 4. Prohibited acts. No person may sell, offer for
9 sale, barter, or give away as a pet or a novelty any rabbit
10 or any baby chick, duckling, or other fowl that which has
11 been dyed, colored, or otherwise treated to impart an
12 artificial color thereto. Baby chicks or ducklings shall not
13 be sold, offered for sale, bartered, or given away as pets or
14 novelties. Rabbits, ducklings or baby chicks shall not be
15 awarded as prizes in any game of chance.
