1 AN ACT to amend the School Code by changing Section 1-2.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing
5 Section 1-2 as follows:
6 (105 ILCS 5/1-2) (from Ch. 122, par. 1-2)
7 Sec. 1-2. Construction.
8 The provisions of this Act, so far as they are the same
9 as those of any prior statute, shall be construed as a
10 continuation of these such prior provisions, and not as a new
11 enactment.
12 If in any other statute reference is made to an Act of
13 the General Assembly, or a section of such an Act, which is
14 continued in this School Code, such reference shall be held
15 to refer to the Act or section thereof so continued in this
16 Code.
