      25 ILCS 145/6             from Ch. 63, par. 42.16
          Amends the Legislative Information System  Act.   Adds  a
      caption to the computer systems Section.

 1        AN ACT to amend the Legislative Information System Act by
 2    changing Section 6.
 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section 5.  The Legislative  Information  System  Act  is
 6    amended by changing Section 6 as follows:
 7        (25 ILCS 145/6) (from Ch. 63, par. 42.16)
 8        Sec.  6.  Computer  systems.  The  System  may  make  the
 9    computer  systems under its jurisdiction available for use by
10    private persons or governmental entities or  agencies,  other
11    than those legislative users specified in Section 5.06, if:
12        (a)  such  availability  in no way reduces the quality of
13    service  available  to  and  required  under  this  Act   for
14    legislative users;
15        (b)  the   System,   by   resolution   adopts  rules  and
16    conditions  regarding  the  offering  of  such  services  and
17    specifies the charges to be made therefor.  These charges may
18    be based on usage of the services; and
19        (c)  the System collects the appropriate charges for  the
20    services  rendered.  Those  amounts shall be deposited in the
21    General Assembly Computer Equipment Revolving Fund, a special
22    fund which is hereby created in the State  treasury.   Monies
23    in  the  Fund shall be appropriated to the Joint Committee on
24    Legislative Support Services for  the  purchase  of  computer
25    equipment  for  the General Assembly and for related expenses
26    and for other operational purposes of the General Assembly.
