1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives are
3 proud to acknowledge the 25th anniversary of Locutores Unidos
4 de Chicago (United Broadcasters of Chicago); and
5 WHEREAS, Locutores Unidos de Chicago is committed to
6 helping the Hispanic people of Chicago by providing aid to
7 the Hispanic businesses of the area; and
8 WHEREAS, Locutores Unidos de Chicago has helped others
9 overcome obstacles faced by Hispanic broadcasters, such as
10 providing public service through radio and television
11 programming; and
12 WHEREAS, Locutores Unidos de Chicago has helped
13 organizations such as El Hogar del Nino, a nursery for
14 children; Casa Central, a home for the elderly; and many
15 childrens and disability organizations; and
16 WHEREAS, The most important goal of Locutores Unidos De
17 Chicago is the presentation of scholarships for lower income
18 Hispanic children from the Chicago area; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
21 commend Locutores Unidos de Chicago on 25 years of service to
22 the city and surrounding community; and be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to Locutores Unidos de Chicago.
