1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Detective
3 Scott A. Harty was named Police Officer of the Year by the
4 Winnetka Chamber of Commerce; and
5 WHEREAS, Detective Harty is a patrol officer in the
6 Indian Hill area; and
7 WHEREAS, Detective Harty realized that most of his time
8 would be spent dealing with New Trier High School, so he
9 recast the assignment into a liaison position to the school;
10 and
11 WHEREAS, He has built a close relationship with both the
12 staff and the students; he helped to start programs to
13 provide security for sports events, defuse potential gang
14 problems, and keep Indian Hill Park under control; therefore,
15 be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
17 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
18 congratulate Detective Scott A. Harty on being named Police
19 Officer of the Year by the Winnetka Chamber of Commerce and
20 extend our best wishes to him for the future; and be it
21 further
22 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23 presented to Detective Scott A. Harty.
