1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate Arlene Ronshausen on her
4 retirement as Principal from Kolmar School in Oak Lawn,
5 Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, Arlene Ronshausen has spent forty-three years as
7 an educator; she began her career as a teacher in the Chicago
8 public schools; in 1963 she became a primary teacher in
9 District 123 at Kolmar School, and stayed there until 1973;
10 she then earned her Master's degree in curriculum and and
11 administration from St. Xavier University and took the job of
12 Principal at Hannum School from 1973 until 1980; from 1980 to
13 1985 she was Principal at Brandt School, and in 1985 she
14 returned to Kolmar to serve as the school's Principal; and
15 WHEREAS, Under her direction many special programs have
16 started, including: classes for the hearing impaired at
17 Hannum School, early childhood and transitional kindergarten
18 programs at Brandt School, and pre-kindergarten, pre-school,
19 early childhood, and developmental kindergarten programs at
20 Kolmar School; and
21 WHEREAS, Arlene Ronshausen loves reading, and imparts her
22 love of reading to children to the parents, staff, and
23 students; she plans to continue to help the school district
24 with her programs after her retirement; she is married to
25 Evans, is the mother of two children, and the grandmother of
26 five grandchildren; therefore, be it
27 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
28 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
29 congratulate Arlene Ronshausen on her successful career as an
30 educator in the State of Illinois; we wish her only the best
31 in her future; and be it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to Arlene Ronshausen, along with our sincere
3 regards.
