1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives congratulate Judge Daniel J. Lynch on
4 receiving the 1998 Man of the Year Award by the Men of
5 Tolentine; and
6 WHEREAS, Judge Daniel Lynch serves as Judge of the
7 Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois; he was elected to the
8 bench in 1984, and has been assigned to the 5th Municipal
9 District in Bridgeview since 1986; and
10 WHEREAS, He is a 1957 graduate of Christ the King Grammar
11 School, a 1961 graduate of Mendel Catholic High School,
12 received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political
13 Science from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1965,
14 his Master of Arts in Economics from Ohio University in 1967,
15 and his Juris Doctor from DePaul University in 1970; and
16 WHEREAS, Daniel Lynch has served as a Legal Analyst with
17 the Chicago Board of Education; he has worked for the
18 Corporation Counsel's Office; and he was the Chief Legal
19 Advisor to former Cook County Assessor Thomas C. Hynes; and
20 WHEREAS, Daniel Lynch has served as a past faculty member
21 of Moraine Valley Community College and St. Xavier
22 University; he is a lifelong resident of the Beverly
23 community in Chicago; he has been married to his wife,
24 Madelyn, for 28 years, and has 3 children; therefore, be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
26 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
27 congratulate Judge Daniel Lynch on receiving the 1998 Man of
28 the Year Award from the Men of Tolentine; and be it further
29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
30 presented to Judge Daniel J. Lynch.
