Amends the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois.
Provides that the Department of Commerce and Community
Affairs shall establish an overseas office in Shenyang,
China. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT to amend the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois
2 by changing Section 46.26.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
6 amended by changing Section 46.26 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 605/46.26) (from Ch. 127, par. 46.26)
8 Sec. 46.26. In cooperation with the Department of
9 Agriculture and with the counsel of the International Trade
10 and Port Promotion Advisory Committee, to establish overseas
11 offices for (a) the promotion of the export of Illinois
12 agricultural and manufactured products; (b) representation of
13 Illinois seaports; (c) economic development; and (d) tourism
14 promotion and services. The Department shall establish an
15 overseas office in Shenyang, China.

17 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
18 becoming law.
