 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION
 2        WHEREAS, This Body was saddened to learn of the death  of
 3    Frank E. Romano, Jr., of Monmouth; and
 4        WHEREAS, Frank E. Romano, Jr., was a lifelong resident of
 5    the  city of Monmouth and was educated in the public schools;
 6    and
 7        WHEREAS, He operated the Frank Romano Grocery  from  1938
 8    until  1963  and  the Frank Romano Agency from 1953 until his
 9    retirement in 1992; and
10        WHEREAS, Frank E. Romano, Jr., was a member of Immaculate
11    Conception Church of Monmouth and a member of the Knights  of
12    Columbus, where he served as the treasurer; and
13        WHEREAS, Mr. Romano served on the Warren County Board for
14    twenty  years, with three terms as chairman, and on the board
15    of Community National Bank for many years; and
16        WHEREAS, Mr. Romano worked with the local youth agencies,
17    from coaching youth league basketball  and  baseball  to  his
18    involvement  with  the  Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America,
19    and he and his family will be  remembered  for  having  three
20    generations  of  softball  players in church league softball;
21    and
22        WHEREAS, Frank E. Romano, Jr., will be deeply  missed  by
23    his   family  and  friends,  especially  his  faithful  wife,
24    Lillian; his daughters Peggy and Mary Anne; his sons Ed, Joe,
25    Jim, John, and  Mark;  daughters-in-law  Barbara,  Lisa,  and
26    Cindy;  sons-in-law  Tom  and  Bill;  thirteen grandchildren;
27    three great-grandchildren;  his  sisters   Catherine,  Dolly,
28    and Mary; and brothers-in-law Dale and Dave; and
29        WHEREAS, The loss of Frank E. Romano, Jr., will be deeply
30    felt  by the community, family, and friends who will remember

 1    him; therefore, be it
 2        RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
 3    OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret
 4    the death of  Mr.  Frank  E.  Romano,  Jr.,  and  extend  our
 5    sincerest  condolences  to  his family and friends; and be it
 6    further
 7        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
 8    presented to the family of Mr. Frank E. Romano, Jr.
