1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Samuel Payton Jr., of Chicago,
4 Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Samuel Payton Jr., was affectionately called
6 "Sammy" by his friends and loved ones; he was born on
7 September 29, 1967; Sammy was known for his friendly ways,
8 for his smile and warm way of greeting people; and
9 WHEREAS, Samuel Payton Jr. is survived by his loving son
10 Samuel Corey and daughter Mykia; his parents Samuel Sr., and
11 Carol; his four sisters Cheryl, Lilada, Deana, and LaToya;
12 his brothers Derwin and Jermaine; his sister-in-law Chenise;
13 as well as several other friends and relatives; therefore, be
14 it
15 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
16 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his
17 family and friends, the death of Samuel Payton Jr.; may his
18 family find peace and solace in this time of loss; and be it
19 further
20 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21 presented to the family of Samuel Payton Jr., along with our
22 sincere condolences.
