1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mrs. Josephine M. Cox of Elgin on Friday,
4 November 13, 1998; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born on March 22, 1925 in Lincoln, the
6 daughter of Robert and Margaret Young; she was a 1942
7 graduate of Elgin High School; and
8 WHEREAS, She was employed by Tuckers Food Store in South
9 Elgin for 25 years until her retirement; and
10 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
11 and friends, especially her husband, George P. Cox; her
12 daughters, Debby Cox and Joanne Gieseke; her son, Dana Cox;
13 her granddaughter, Lori McIntosh; her great-grandchildren,
14 Lindsey, Patrick, and Christina; and her sisters, Anna Louise
15 Carbary and Katherine Mary Ross; therefore, be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
17 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret
18 the death of Josephine M. Cox and extend our sincere
19 condolences to her family and friends; and be it further
20 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21 presented to her husband, George P. Cox.
