TURNER,ART-HARTKE-SAVIANO-DART-LYONS,JOSEPH.

(O'MALLEY)

   65 ILCS 5/11-138-1        from Ch. 24, par. 11-138-1                        

        Amends the Illinois Municipal Code.  Authorizes a municipality or      
   water company (now a water company) to locate or change the source  of      
   a  water  supply to a point not more than 80 (now 20) miles beyond the      
   municipality's corporate limits.                                            
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
          Deletes reference to:                                                
          65 ILCS 5/11-138-1                                                   
          Adds reference to:                                                   
          70 ILCS 1505/15                 from Ch. 105, par. 333.15            
          70 ILCS 1505/15b new                                                 
          70 ILCS 1505/15c new                                                 
        Deletes  everything.   Amends  the  Chicago  Park  District  Act.      
   Provides that the Chicago Park District  may  improve,  maintain,  and      
   equip lands or estates "when authorized by the Commissioners"; deletes      
   a  current  limitation  to "a park or playground".  Deletes provisions      
   concerning the acquisition of permanent buildings  or  structures  and      
   the  improvement  or  remodeling  of  property  on which the term of a      
   permit or lease is not less than 10 years.  Provides that the  Chicago      
   Park  District  may  grant  licenses,  easements, and rights of way to      
   municipalities,  corporations,  or  persons  for   the   construction,      
   operation, and maintenance of facilities on, under, or across property      
   of  the  district  for  water,  sewer, telephone, electricity, gas, or      
   other public services.  Provides that the Chicago  Park  District  may      
   enter into leases for a period not to exceed 5 years for any equipment      
   and machinery that may be required for corporate purposes.
