LAUZEN. New Act 5 ILCS 80/4.18 new Creates the Divorce Mediator Certification Act. Provides that a person may not hold himself or herself out as a certified divorce me- diator unless he or she has been certified by the committee on dispute resolutions created by the Act. Set training and experience require- ments for certification as a divorce mediator. Requires that informa- tion disclosed in mediation sessions remain confidential with certain exceptions.
