Short description: USE OCC TXES-COAL-EQUIP EXEMPT Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Use Tax Act, the Service Use Tax Act, the Service Occupation Tax Act, and the Retailers' Occupation Tax Act. Provides that the exemption from the taxes imposed by those Acts for coal exploration and mining equipment shall, for taxable years beginning on or after December 31, 1997 and ending on or before December 31, 2006, include all tangible personal property used or consumed in the mining and processing of coal. Effective immediately.
