Requires a county board to submit the question of whether to discontinue township organization to the voters if 10% or more of the voters in each township (now, of the county) petition the board. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Provides that a question of the continuance of township organization shall be certified and submitted to the voters upon the petition of at least 10% of the registered voters of each township of a county, as determined on the date registration ceased before the regular election next preceding the last date on which the petition may be filed. (Now upon the petition of a least 10% of the legal voters of any county, as determined on the date the petition is filed).
