House Sponsors: ROSKAM. Short description: CRIM CD-PENCD-DOC-NO SEX-INMAT Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that it is criminal sexual assault or criminal sexual abuse for an employee of the Department of Corrections to commit an act of sexual penetration or sexual conduct with an inmate confined in a Department of Corrections facility. Provides that consent to the sexual penetration or sexual conduct is not a defense. Amends the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that an employee of the Department of Corrections who is convicted of criminal sexual assault or criminal sexual abuse in which the victim is an inmate in a Department facility shall forfeit all pension benefits. PENSION NOTE Fiscal impact of HB848 would be negligible.
