Short description:
VEH CD-SOUND AMPLIFICATION-CAR

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to prohibit a driver from
operating a sound amplification system that can be heard outside the
vehicle from 50 (instead of 75) feet or more. Provides that a
violation is punishable by a fine not to exceed $100 (instead of $50).
          STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE
In the opinion of DCCA, HB1259 fails to create a State mandate
          under the State Mandates Act.
          HOME RULE NOTE
HB1259 does not preempt home rule authority.
          FISCAL NOTE (DCCA)
HB 1259, does not involve the activities and does not have a
fiscal impact on units of local government.
