VEH CD-HIT & RUN                                                           

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code.  Increases various periods  for      
   which  revocation  of driver's licenses are effective after conviction      
   for leaving the scene of an  accident,  reckless  homicide,  and  DUI.      
   Provides  that leaving the scene of an accident is a Class 4 felony if      
   the motor vehicle accident does not result  in  death;  and  if  death      
   results,  it  is  a  Class  2  felony  for  which  the offender may be      
   sentenced to at least 3 years and not more than 14 years imprisonment.      
   Effective immediately.
