Senate Sponsors: DONAHUE Short description: NURSE HOME FACIL-VETERANS HOME Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Nursing Home Care Act to provide that homes, institutions, or other places operated under the authority of the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs are not excluded from the definition of long-term care facility. Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that the term "nursing home" does not include a State facility operated by or under the authority of the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: 305 ILCS 5/5E-5 Deletes everything. Amends the Nursing Home Care Act to make technical changes in the Section defining the term "facility".
