House Sponsors: SAVIANO. Short description: COUNTY OFFICER STIPEND Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Counties Code. Provides that the county clerk of each county, the recorder of each county, and the chief clerk of each county board of election commissioners (now the county clerk of each county that does not have a county board of election commissioners and the chief clerk of each county board of election commissioners) shall receive an award of $4,500 per year after January 1, 1998, $5,500 per year after January 1, 1999, and $6,500 per year after January 1, 2000 (now of $3,500 per annum for the additional duties required of such officers by the consolidation of elections law). Effective immediately.
