HUMAN SERVICES-COLLECT DATA                                                

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends  the  Mental   Health   and   Developmental   Disabilities      
   Administrative  Act.    Requires  the  Department of Human Services to      
   collect and maintain certain information concerning  individuals  with      
   developmental   disabilities  waiting  for  community-based  services.      
   Provides that the Department shall make the information  available  to      
   other agencies serving persons with developmental disabilities.             
          FISCAL NOTE (Dpt. Human Services)                                    
          The fiscal impact would be $1,344,600.                               
          STATE MANDATES ACT FISCAL NOTE                                       
          Fails to create a State mandate.

        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Deletes everything.  Amends the Mental Health  and  Developmental      
   Disabilities  Administrative  Act.   Provides  that  the Department of      
   Human Services shall collect certain  information  on  the  number  of      
   individuals with developmental disabilities who have requested and are      
   waiting  for  community-based  services that are funded through grants      
   from the Department to, and contracts with the Department  and,  local      
   school  districts,  individual service coordination organizations, and      
   community-based  organizations.    Provides   that   the   information      
   collected  shall  be  limited to information about individuals who are      
   eligible for services at the time  of  the  request  or  who  will  be      
   eligible  to receive services within 12 months after the date services      
   are  requested.   Provides  that  the  Department   shall   make   the      
   information   available   to   other  agencies  serving  persons  with      
   developmental disabilities.
