House Sponsors: ZICKUS. Short description: CD CORR-TRUTH IN SENTENCING Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Provides that a defendant who is convicted of an offense subject to the Truth-In-Sentencing provisions committed on or after the effective date of this amendatory Act shall receive no good conduct credit and shall serve 100% of his or her sentence (now the defendant may receive a maximum of 4.5 days of good conduct credit for each month of his or her sentence of imprisonment).
