Senate Sponsors: LUECHTEFELD Short description: TASK FORCE-SALES TAX-ILL COAL Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Urges that a Task Force be formed to study the feasibility of eliminating the sales tax on Illinois coal. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Makes changes in the composition of the Task Force. Provides that the member of the Illinois Coal Development Board shall be appointed by the Director of the Department of Natural Resources and shall serve as chairperson, and the member from the Governor's office shall be appointed by the Governor. Provides that all members shall serve without compensation but shall be reimbursed for expenses.
