PROP TX-SPECIAL SERVICE AREA                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Special Service Area Tax Law in the Property Tax Code.      
   Provides that no lien shall be established against any  real  property      
   in  a  special  service area nor shall a special service area create a      
   valid tax prior  to  recordation  of  the  ordinance  establishing  or      
   changing the boundaries of the area.  Provides that the ordinance must      
   be  recorded  no  later  than 60 days after the date the ordinance was      
   adopted (now 60 days after  the  effective  date  of  the  ordinance).      
   Effective immediately.
