Short description: INS-DISABILITY-SPECIALIST Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971, Counties Code, Illinois Municipal Code, School Code, Illinois Insurance Code, Health Maintenance Organization Act, Comprehensive Health Insurance Plan Act, Limited Health Service Organization Act, Voluntary Health Services Plans Act, and Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides persons with a disability covered under a group or individual policy of accident and health insurance or a managed care plan must be permitted to designate a specialist to whom the person has access without referral or prior approval. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately.
