Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the School Code.  In  provisions  concerning  utilizing  a      
   representation  of available local resources per pupil for purposes of      
   calculating general State aid,  provides  that  for  school  districts      
   maintaining grades 9 through 12, local property tax revenues per pupil      
   shall  be  the applicable equalized assessed valuation of the district      
   multiplied by 1.10% (instead of 1.20%), and divided by the  district's      
   Average Daily Attendance figure.  Effective July 1, 1998.                   
        SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                
        In the available local resources provision, provides that local        
   property tax revenues per pupil shall be the applicable equalized           
   assessed valuation of the district multiplied by 1.00% (instead of          
   1.10%), and divided by the district's Average Daily Attendance figure.      
   Provides that the real property equalized assessed valuation for a          
   school district maintaining grades 9 through 12 shall be adjusted by        
   subtracting from the real property value an amount computed by divid-       
   ing the amount of a certain abatement of taxes by 1.00% (instead of         
   1.20%) and adjusted by an amount computed by dividing the amount of a       
   certain abatement of taxes by 1.00% (instead of 1.20%).
