Short description: INS DIABETES COVERAGE Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Insurance Code, the Health Maintenance Organization Act, the Limited Health Service Organization Act, and the Voluntary Health Services Plans Act. Provides that coverage under those Acts must include coverage for diabetes self-management training and education and for specified equipment and drugs used in the treatment of diabetes. Effective January 1, 1999.
